Skin Type Analyzer

Before tanning (indoors our outdoors), it is important to understand your skin type to minimize the likelihood of sunburn. The questions below are tools to assist, though ultimately education and experience are the best guides. There are six different classifications used by dermatologists ranging from Skin Type 1 (almost never tan) to Skin Type 6 (naturally dark skin that seems to tan endlessly)

1.  When exposed to ultraviolet radiation (sunlight or tanning bed),
do you eventually develop a TAN or do you always sunburn?

2.  What is the natural color of your un-tanned SKIN?

3.  What is your natural HAIR color?

4.What is your EYE color?

5.  How many FRECKLES do you have?

6.  Which best describes your GENETIC heritage?

7.  Which best describes your SUNBURN potential?

8.  Which best describes your TANNING potential?
